One year later....

   It has been awhile since I have been on here, but it seems like a good time to pick things back up and document some things. First of all... Hayes turns one on Saturday and I am just in a daze trying figure out where the last year went. Holy cow. Let's recap....

..... And that is just a small taste of the last year. So much has happened. So many things good. Some bad. Some confusing. Some sad. BUT, it has been the best year of my life. We are very blessed. We have grown up so much. Hayes is so big and I am amazed at how much he learns every day. It is so fun to see things through his eyes for the first time. I love my baby so much. I love Derek so much. We have made it so far and I just can't believe all that we have overcome. We are a strong family. We are following our hearts and we are at peace. I love the place that we are at right now in life. Things are good. That doesn't mean that we don't come across rough patches, but we get through them. Because we love each other and that is all that matters, right? I wish that I would have kept better notes over the last year, but I will start now and be better at keeping these precious memories right here. The journey may not be easy but we are making it.
